Cancellation Policy & Fees
Trio Leasing Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Wessex Fleet Solutions Limited.
Please note, this policy specifically relates to cancelling Trio Leasing’s brokerage service and does not relate to your cancellation rights with the Finance Provider or the Vehicle Supplier.
Under the Consumer Credit Act 1973 (Section 155), and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the statutory right to cancel the contract for brokerage services without penalty and without giving any reason within 14 calendar days of signing the order pack. This legal right applies equally to all personal customers.
If you exercise this right within the 14 days you will receive a full refund of any monies paid within 28 working days from the day on which Trio Leasing receives the notification of cancellation. For cancellations received more than 14 days after the order has been signed the following fees apply.
Fees
The signed order form serves as formal consent for us to order a vehicle on your behalf. Once we receive your signed order, the process initiated creates financial costs and obligations, which cannot be reversed.
For orders cancelled 14 days after the vehicle been ordered the following cancellation fees will apply:
A cancellation fee equal to the current arrangement fee will be applicable if you cancel your order.
If you’ve already paid the arrangement fee, that payment covers your cancellation fee – you won’t be charged again.
A cancellation fee applies per vehicle ordered, not per order.
Whilst your vehicle order and finance terms are arranged together, our cancellation fee applies solely to the procurement of your vehicle and the brokerage services we provide. If you decide that you want to end the agreement with the finance company early (after the statutory 14 days cooling off period), then they will make a charge to do so.
Exercising Your Right to Cancel
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel, you must notify Trio Leasing of your decision to cancel the contract for brokerage services by a clear statement in writing by post to:
54 Claymar Drive, Newhall, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 0LF.
You must include details of your full name, address, and details of the order you wish to cancel.
Please note, by exercising your right to cancel, you are withdrawing from the brokerage contract and the contract is terminated.
For consumers entitled to a refund of the processing fee, either in part or in full, refunds will be issued within 28 working days from the day on which Trio Leasing receives the notification of cancellation.
